Mara jumped in surprise for what felt like the hundredth time today as the selkie from before sat down next to her and started getting excited over the appearing food. She will admit, it was surprising but is it normal for someone to get this excited about something? She watched as the selkie envisioned the food she wanted and Mara's widened in horror at the sight of raw fish piled on the plate. Her face paled and she felt sick, the piece of seaweed falling from her limp fingers. Her bright blue eyes were fixed on the plate, unable to look away. Yes, some mermaids ate fish and other sea creatures but Mara could never bare to eat the very beings she called her friends. Her parents had raised her to be kind and caring to the other inhabitants of the sea and so she survived off of the underwater plant life. She shuddered, tearing her eyes away. She stared down at her bowl, not really hungry anymore. She picked up the clear, hard object again and looked it over. Seriously, how did you even use this? What was it for? She knew there was water in it but how in the world did she get it out?
