Maddox
I see, Maddox thought to himself, still watching Damien and Grane fight. It seems that Jamie has good taste. When their two powerful attacks collided and caused the cavern to shake, Maddox held onto the building tighter. Damien is quite strong. The hanging building began to shake and fall, prompting Maddox to teleport away for his own safety. When he reappeared on the ground he saw that Grane was defeated and Damien was helping him up. Wasting no time, the red-haired mage dashed towards them and placed one hand each on their shoulders. "Time to go," he warned them before teleporting out of the cavern with them in tow. The trio re-appeared aboveground, outside the Library nearby Penny. As soon as they arrived, Maddox let them go and took a step back. "Not bad, Damien," he commended, giving the knight a thumbs up. His eyes then glanced to Penny. He knew that she was going to be furious at Grane. His expression toward her was almost pleading, letting her know that she shouldn't attack Grane as he was already beaten.
Beatrix and Edo-Maddox
The tan woman stopped when Mayat got in her way, first giving the woman a deadly glare but eventually resigning it to be the right choice. Despite her rage, she understood there was a serious gap between her and the Maddox before her. "You know you are going to stop me?" Edo-Maddox questioned Jamie, raising an eyebrow. The first change of expression he has made. "Interesting..." He took a glance towards the other people standing around before uncrossing his arms. "I said before I didn't plan on coming here. I suppose I'll be leaving now." Edo-Maddox turned away and began walking back towards his Legion. As Beatrix, Joshua, and Mayat were directly in his path, he continued walking in a straight line with the expectation they would step out of his way. Though, considering his stature, they wouldn't really be able to force him to move regardless. As he passed Beatrix he didn't even spare her a glance. It wasn't until he had just passed her that she decided to strike. With astonishing speed, Beatrix whipped around and delivered a roundhouse kick to the back of his head. Like her last attack, however, Edo-Maddox avoided it with ease. He wasn't even looking and ducked underneath. Before she could even recover from her own attack, his left hand shot out and struck her at the base of her neck. In that same motion he grabbed her by the back of her collar. It was a good thing too as she slumped over unconscious after he dealt the seemingly light blow. "As expected," Edo-Maddox commented, lifting up the knocked out woman slightly so she wouldn't fall down. He glanced over his shoulder at the others, giving them a serious glare. "Our Earthland friends don't seem to know much about our world, Jamie," he spoke, before turning away. "You should probably educate them." Rather than drop Beatrix, Maddox swung his arm and tossed her unconscious body toward his Legion. She landed perfectly on the center of its back. "I'll be taking this one. I know somebody who will want to meet her." Without waiting for anyone to stop him, he too jumped onto his Legion. "Remember where Phoenix Wing stands in this world. If you do well, it will maintain its position. Hya!" The gigantic Legion let out a roar before taking off with a powerful wingbeat. Now in the air, Edo-Maddox crossed his arms again though he continued watching Phoenix Wing until it was no longer in sight.
