The crowd around the table started to disperse, Rick Grimes being one of the members. He made his way to Lara. He nodded at her, eying her carefully.

"You want in on the next run?" He asked. She wasn't totally convinced that it was because he trusted her.

"Hell yeah." She grinned anyways.

"Gear up in an hour." He said over his shoulder as he walked away. Lara nodded even though she knew he couldn't see her.

Her heart did little flips inside her chest. She was going on a run! This was exciting. It was her chance to prove herself. Her chance to earn a place among the people here. She promised them silently that she wouldn't fail them.
