Upon seeing Masahiko, Jayce recognized him immediately. Not like it was all that hard to recognize a member of the magic council, but hey, even a country boy has to know his stuff. Sighing reluctantly, Jayce was almost about to turn back at the man's suggestion before he suddenly darted off, telling them to go get the Rune Knights. Jayce felt a little relieved, since this basically meant he could just send Nori off while he perused the archives at his leisure. Everything seemed to come together, at least until he looked over to Karn, just as he was shoved to the side, and the kid got SLAMMED through the floor by a massive rock. The shove forced Jayce against the wall, knocking Nori's head against the wall. (+1 to Nori's Burning Hatred.) Getting up, Jayce looked over at the hole in disbelief. He barely even knew the guy and he just got in harm's way for him. Cursing under his breath, he flexed the wrist of his artificial arm. "...Can't just..." he started to say to himself before the woman from outside basically told him to fuck off. As she dissapeared into the hole, Jayce sighed and popped a compartment open on his arm open, before he shoved a bright green, spherical lacrima about the size of his finger tip into it, then another...then another. He carefully slid the three inside and pushed Nori off his back and onto the floor. "Get out of here and get the Rune Knights. I'll take care of this." he said, before straight up just jumping down the hole, and kicking off a falling boulder to push himself towards the wall. Clinging on with his artificial hand, he looked around for the...well...not kid anymore. "HEY! YOU ALRIGHT DOWN THERE?" he called out. Nori, following Jayce's instructions, sprinted out of the building, after she'd fixed a gigantic web to the ceiling of the building to catch any rubble she could.
