My friends were also all blue-is-the-devil and loathed playing against my Merfolk deck, but they gave in largely because I almost never won. I build my decks to screw with people, not to win, which was good seeing as they had all the newest overpowered cards and I was stuck using mostly old cards—some of which were really good, but power levels have increased notably.
