Your grandmother can do what the Russians were fond of doing, which was finding somebody from another country (like Poland or Sweden), having them say they're so and so, and raise up an army of foreigners to take the crown, which once accomplished, most Russians didn't care enough to question it, proving that not giving a shit is an ancient Russian tradition.
