Bedhivere, you're being silly. Assuming the difference between you and whats-his-face was about 100 meters, and you traversed that distance (and killed him) in a thousands of a millisecond, you would be moving at a speed of 100.000.000 m/s, which is over 1000x the speed of sound. You're reaching the speed where your velocity would create a sufficient increase in mass that it would force a gravitational flux, ripping apart half the base. I know we're not going ultra-realistic, but I think for the sake of balance, as well as base logic, we should put a limit on characters who want to move at Mach 300.000, or anything similar. Darkness or no, that's just plain silly.
Oh please, don't talk to me about realism and balance with all your MechSuits and tech toys. Using a blade made of Boron Carbide would be quite literally attacking someone with a sword made of glass, yet by some advanced super science you have managed to forged a monofilament blade with boron carbide, which again is a crystalline structure but I do not believe it is harder than diamond as that would be Adamantium at that point, so I am not sure how it this applies unless you have somehow managed to so much molecular manipulation with the creation to tubes to give it the flexibility of steel? I'm not even sure how this would even work as it is still a crystalline structure and as such. Then you also have the electromagnetic components within the blade itself, which would also alter the composition on a structural level, and it also evidently can be remotely activated and the power of the magnetism changed by running current through the electromagnet, that must be structurally embedded in a monofilament, crystal sword. You have an exoskeleton with a direct brain jack into you which has absolutely no lag in processing the signals and I assume, moves fluidly rather than robotically. Such technology would require more than just having several electrodes in one's brain and perhaps even use chemical sensors to directly interact with the chemical signals rather than the neural impulses. Then again you would have to be able to detect exactly which path of messaging the brain takes to signal an effector, then splice into it to have the onboard CPU to quickly also move the mechanized components in union in perfect timing with the brain for fluidity. Furthermore, some undescribed power source is onboard as well, at which is described only as a small, advanced power source. Unless these are some form of super-advanced batteries which will eventually need to be replaced or charged, is your character literally backpacking around a mini nuclear reactor? As for the speeds Lord Bedivere moved at, in total darkness at night time, he does as he said, becoming the light. And thus, moving at speeds of light before reformulating. Do not forget that changes in mass can be accounted for by his shapeshifting abilities (which is not restricted to animals mind you, as such he can become an elementary particle which retains his consciousness and abilities before changing back at the destination instantaneously while the sudden change in form would contra the momentum which would have been my argument as to why he didn't just send the man flying back but could rather hold his throat and throw him down) which again is a product of It being the evening (he loses such ability in daytime, along with his gain in speed and power, hence why I believe he is extremely balanced in nature as he is bound by the clock). However, that being said, I can see your concern with such abilities. But in my defense, it requires total and utter darkness as the gain is based on an exponential curve, and as such even a fraction of light would prevent him from doing this, and since no one had stopped the darkness from taking hold, unlike lady MO who did dispel the fog/smoke/mist, it seems perfectly reasonable that he is empowered thusly. Then you have Gabriel who, literally can influence the fates of mortals as a "natural" supernatural ability. Now come on, you can't have all the powerful characters in the roleplay. But shall we let the GM/CGM decide on if I should edit anything?
