[@Primal Conundrum] Well I feel like that's essentially the same thing. A class system is simply to give readers a general concept of your character's combat style. What you do within that class is up to you. If you'd like to be a spell caster whose father was a blacksmith, it's not like I would expect you to put "Smithy Mage" as your class. Those subtext of your character's abilities can be further explained within the character sheet itself. Was that what you were saying, or did I miss the mark? Lol
