It is technically a cartoon since anime are basically Japanized cartoons. It also works vice versa, which is a surprisingly overlooked fact.

I at least know of Airbender more than Korra. Bald kid with a lightbulb tattoo goes ass all over a fire nation or something. Fun stuff.
