Original characters
Take note that most of these characters are eligible. I'll make sure to indicate which characters are claimed. Octavius(claimed by myself) The titular protagonist, the adopted son of King Akakios and Queen Cloelia and the new general of Chalcion's army. Kind at heart and devoted, he is a risk-taker, much unlike his stepfather. He is courageous, confident, firm and optimistic, though a bit stubborn and quite short-tempered. He enjoys spending time with other people more than alone, but he likes to add family into the mix more often than not. Octavius is proud of his heritage and will generally believe that he is right when defending it. He often, though not necessarily, shows high self-esteem. He's beyond shrewdness and fickleness and can never lie, not even to save his own life. His innocence is usually enough to cover up his, sometimes aggressive behavior - hey may get extremely angry in a split second, but the anger never turns into a grudge and the fire dies down after a while: he always forgives and forgets. Hadrian VII The main antagonist, the emperor of Hadria. Hadrian is cunning and intelligent, able to see through things and make plans with great speed. His vanity, stubbornness, arrogance and drive for dominance, as well as his open expression of emotion, naturally lead to outright aggression when challenged. Hadrian is sadistic and will enjoy in the pain, humiliation, misfortune and even death of those he is not on good terms with, because it brings him satisfaction to feel superior to others. He blames others for his own mistakes, often lying to save face. He demands others to respect him to a fault, and will hold grudges against those he considers rivals. He is greedy and self-centered and has very little conscience, especially for those he deems as a lesser race than the Hadrianites. Akakios III The king of Chalcion. Akakios is a well-behaved, collected and adaptable man. He is empathetic, acting on an altruistic desire to help the weak. He is extremely trustworthy: once he makes a pledge, it is realistic to expect that he will honor it. He is a generous ruler and doesn't hesitate to increase the pays of his subjects if they had completed a task as requested. He is a well-organized man, but isn't burdened by perfectionism; he can spot a diamond in the rough with little problems. He is very loyal to his family and enjoys to spend time with them. He will blame himself if he makes a mistake, even if it isn't his own fault. Marius(claimed by Lmpkio) The subordinate general of Chalcion's troops. An easy-going and quick-witted man, he has a love for spending time with other people. He's nevertheless a cautious leader and prudent when planning an attack: doing something unwise will upset him. He is nevertheless fearlessly courageous on the battlefield. Jealousy and possessiveness are not his personality traits, as he has an open mind and will always share his thoughts and possessions with others. Bors(claimed by MafiaM16) A Chalcionese soldier, and the lead animal handler. Proud and stubborn, he is not an easy man to sway, but he is unfailingly loyal and will go neck-deep into the deepest of troubles. He has a large ego and isn't afraid to brag about it, and has a soft spot for animals. He is also somewhat of an alcoholic. Sotiris(claimed by MafiaM16) The last Great Dragon known by the people of Ortu. He and four other Great Dragons formed a group that swore an oath to defend the free people of Ortu from evil. He was imprisoned in the mountain of Jorl soon after the Hadrianites massacred his comrades and took over Isvarld. Even though he is a kind, loving and peaceful dragon at heart, he has a burning grudge against Hadrianites, or any men, for their treason against the Dragons.
