Damian had opted not to change into Robin and instead act on Cassandra's orders that no one should die by aiding in the evacuation of the manor as best he could, not that he had particularly liked the task. But now that the battle was over, he was already starting to suit up before his father had even halfway finished with this "Dr.Freeze"'s particular sob story. The important part was that now Gotham was being terrorized by killer cyborgs and an iceman in a powered suit had killed one of theirs. Whose fault it was and some ancient argument between Father and Grayson over a freak accident were both irrelevant as long as the murderers went free and unpunished. At least Todd seemed to have the right idea, if they hit the streets now then- "Wait...Did...did Todd just steal my R-Cycle?" If it wasn't completely beneath him Damian would have been slack-jawed in disbelief. As it was he merely froze in shock with his Robin suit halfway on. At this point Damian couldn't tell if stealing from him made the former Robin admirably bold, lethally stupid or just utterly unfathomable. Whatever quality it was, nobody had ever had enough of it to try such a thing before. On the other hand, at least the rumors about him didn't disappoint. He was certainly nothing like Drake or Grayson. Damian covered up his obvious surprise and hurried to get dressed, checking each section of his utility belt as he clipped it on and making sure his mask was properly adhered. "If I have to go in the car, I'm driving. It will be faster like that anyway." That much was true enough, at least. Damian was perfectly capable of operating all manner of vehicles even if he had to use hand-controls for many of them, but if they did things the way one of the others would they would be slowing down to swerve around every obstruction that was idiotic and/or slow enough not to move out of the way of the Batmobile. There was no time to waste on ridiculous things like 'safe driving' and 'watching for pedestrians' when there were criminals to stop anyways. He doubted anyone would let him swing by himself either if it came to that. He didn't need leashes or babysitters and he would move faster and stealthier on his own, but nobody ever listened to him on either point. Ah well, as long as he didn't get partnered up with Drake or the Brown girl he likely wouldn't be rendered too ineffective. Although he had his doubts when it came to Kane and Fox even if their wasn't time to argue against them being let in on things so soon, and Cassandra would likely look at him as if he were radioactive the entire time. So in summary Grayson and Father were the only capable partners available. He supposed Fat-girl might not be utterly useless if she would stop blabbering constantly but that was about as likely as Father getting him a pet as part of these bizarre holiday customs he'd heard about and speaking of... "Where's my sword? We're fighting robots or cyborgs, I deserve at least one sword!"
