That's sort of the same reason I originally started roleplaying; creative writing practice. My English and grammar have improved since then and I think I've become a lot better at executing plot devices I can manage to set in motion. In truth forum roleplay is just joint creative writing and it's great to weave a story together with other people who share similar interests in the world you help each other write :).
