Sue Sue waited for hours. It was headed near late night when Phoebe promised she’d be back soon to be with Sue. It had been so long. Lovers, she thought, she noted that tomorrow was Valentine’s Day and the couple were probably out and about, making out on a mountain. Sue really wanted to see Phoebe, and so even if Ryan was going to go into Phoebe’s room and do whatever gross thing they plan to, she’d be there. Sue went down to Phoebe’s floor and approached her room. It was unlocked, as proclaimed, and she went inside. Her eyes were still watery and tired so the details of the room were blurry to her. All she saw crashing into her face was Phoebe’s face, where Sue laid down and slept, waiting for Phoebe to return. She never did. As the night went on, the labourers of the Student Union went to work, fast. Speedsters and telekinetics organized everything in a flash overnight. The gym that used to house the PE classes was now glamoured and decorated in pink. It was Valentine’s Day, and this was the Valentine’s Day Ball. Sue had overslept, exhausted from her bout of sadness, and she felt it was most likely to return again. She hurried to her classes, but they seemed to be so quick, as she wondered… Where the hell was Phoebe? Suddenly, the PA system sounded, with one of the most annoying, high-pitched voices Sue had ever heard. She winced and covered her ears particularly harder from the irritation. Announcement “So I hope no one forgot that today was Valentine’s Day! Hi!!! This is Caits from the Student Union and I on behalf of the school would like to invite everyone to attend the official Valentine’s Day Ball!! Wipeeeeeeeeeeee! You all have powers – heck, so do I – so we felt it was okay to tell you about the ball in just 6 hours’ time! It’s Formal or Smart Casual, everyone, so no shorts. And No powers! Don’t make me cancel the ball early again like last year! Of course we’re inviting some bands. Of course we’re having Prom King and Queen! Of course some of you asses will spike the drinks, but we don’t care! The Ball is at 9 pm tonight, guys! See you then! I love you all! MWUAHHZ” Everything bothered Sue today. She was rarely grumpy, but when she was, she acted as though she were a curmudgeon, with a bad back. Sue had just finished her last class, and she went around looking for Ryan. Surely he knew where she went. Sad thing about her ability, was that she could not get anywhere close to the Ball without levelling the entire academy. She would just have to stay in, and revel at the memories of herself being Prom Queen years ago. Sue groggily went back to Phoebe’s room, and laid waiting for her return. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a letter on the floor. She read it and could not believe her eyes. She had to find someone. Katherin? Kijani? Anyone!
