Thought it would be an interesting way to narrow the competition down quick early game. It's only for this round, I didn't realize there would be so much trouble with it. If you absolutely cannot find a partner then go ahead and just say that you got paired with some random scrub NPCs and won. 

P.S. The losing team of the tag duel has to duel  each other to stay in the tournament. If you guys don't like this idea it can be changed. Not saying the loser of both of those matches is permanently removed. There are always ways back in.
