Name: Belisarius Arthur Age: 25 Race: Breton/Imperial Class: Restoration Spellsword with side-skills in Smithing and Enchanting. Appearance: Arthur has the black hair and black eyes of his Breton Mother, and the brown skin and facial set of his Imperial Father. He has a medium-sized beard and mustache, which accentuates his muscular, statuesque form, which in turn is kept in shape through Restoration Magic and exercise in order to make it easier to wear the heavy armor that Arthur wears around at almost all times. In short, Arthur looks every bit the typical charismatic leader, and, well, he deliberately keeps it that way (see Personality below for more). Personality: Arthur is not deliberately manipulative; in fact, he can be quite humble and obedient, at least outwardly. However, he does expect to be treated with respect, and for his words to have value. Part of his reasons for keeping himself aestethically appealing comes from the fact that people are willing to listen to the handsome, but not foppish person more. When in a group, Arthur's behavior differs on whether it is a 'good' or 'evil' group; if the group is good, then he is all helpful and unselfish; if the group is evil, he would either leave, or, if forced to join, be snide and have suppressed aggression. In a mixed group, Arthur would stick to the 'good' people while glaring (possibly helplessly) at the bad ones, or even ponder bashing their heads in. Bio: Arthur was born to an improportu marriage between two Legion Veterans, one Imperial and one Breton, during the final years of the War against the Thalmor. Though not a genius, he was an intelligent, strong child, and his early life was happy. In fact, in a subversion of common backstory plotlines, Arthur's life stayed happy for a long time, but that did not hurt how the boy learned, how the boy advanced, and how the boy eventually became a man. He had problems, true, but nothing insurmountable, especially as his parents were well-off enough with their pensions to send him to a University. Of course, that was when his life changed, thanks to 1.) the discontent following Titus Mede's rule, and 2.) a book made during said discontent. The book was called The Res Publica: A New Form of Government. It called for a constitution to guarantee the rights of people from arbitary powers, for the gradual replacement of hereditary officials with elected ones, and, finally and most subversively, the replacement of the Monarchy itself. In short, the Res Publica advocated for power to be placed in the middle and merchant classes throughout Tamirel, an option treated as a pariah by the aristocracy. Thankfully, the Imperial Government was too busy with the Stormcloaks and the Dark Brotherhood to worry about the implications of the Res Publica, contenting themselves with burning whatever copies of the book they might find. And, through some magic, more copies came up anyway. Either way, Arthur was engrossed with Res Publican ideology, and, as it turned out, his parents shared the same interests, being worshippers of Talos in secret, but who despised the Stormcloaks. And, when Dragons returned to Nim, Belisarius Arthur, now finishing University, saw a chance to increase the fortunes of his creed, and gain supporters for his cause. He was going to the Dovafeyn and turning it into a front organization for the Res Publica.
