Phoebe wasn't going down easy, and as The needle came towards her, petrofied wood formed over her skin, preventing the needle from piercing her skin. Phoebes powers were more advanced then Nicholas's having had them for longer, as well as having experimented with them to get where she was now. 

A vine snaked to take the needle away, and Phoebe continjed to struggle.


"I believe they are going that way" Clark replied to Ryan, "do not take them by yourself if you reach them before me"
