For those of you remaining; there were multiple contending pantheons for the throne and Aroesus and siblings had to fight these various factions and groups and became the eventual victors. Krona grew as Aroesus and co. absorbed the others. But Ventu came first and spawned many. Primal beings like Lymaeus also spawned beings. It's entirely possible some primordial sea deity had a hand in such things.

[@Whiskers] I'm cool with the idea of a hallucination/dream deity, though I feel like that ought to be bundled in with deception as well.
