Raven watched the girl turn and walk away, back in the direction of the shop. He didn’t know what it was but there was something…different about her that he just couldn’t put his finger on. Deciding he didn’t need yet another mystery to keep him up at night, Raven put the matter out of his mind and continued on his way. He reached The Silver Dragon and spent a few minutes trying to juggle the two boxes in order to open the door. Finally, an elderly couple took pity on him and opened the door for him. After them a smiling of gratitude Raven headed inside, ears immediately noticing the sound volume of the room. His uncle wasn’t joking, business had indeed pick up in the time he had been gone. Raven’s bright blue eyes scanned the floor, seeing Sal over by a family of six. He then spotted Jack over by a few church-goers. As the man turned he spotted Raven standing over by the register. ”Oh thank god. Stow those boxes in my office and get back out here, I need you covering table five through seven.” Raven nodded and did as he was asked before grabbing his apron. He headed over to three elderly woman and asked them what they would like to drink. After a few minutes of them criticizing his hair color, Raven finally managed to get their beverage order and quickly made his escape. Their peach tea was made, Raven delivered the glasses and had to suffer a few more minutes as they kept trying to get a breakfast on a discount. They just didn’t seem to understand that while the pancake combo was on discount last week, it wasn’t on a discount this week. After explaining it about five times they finally relented and ordered scrambled eggs and bacon instead. He let out a sigh as he gave their order to the kitchen and turned only to crash into Sal while he was carrying a tray of water. With a loud crash and the sound of braking glass, Raven was knocked to the floor with the water spilling all over him. Sal, in a flustered manner quickly apologized and gathered up the broken glass and disappeared into the kitchen. Raven sighed once more and sat up, dreading the fact that he would have to spend the rest of his shift soaking wet. He then noticed something weird. The floor around him was covered in water but he himself was perfectly dry. ”What the-“ ”Raven! Clean that up and then get back out here!” Raven just shook his head in a confused manner and climbed to his feet, going off to find a mob. Why in the world was he dry? He should have been completely drenched in water but he wasn’t. It reminded him about his dream, where he had stayed dry even though he was underwater. What in the world was going on? First that weird event with the flower shop girl and now this. Was he going crazy? Was the lack of sleep finally taking its toll on him?
