Devika shrugged lightly. "I... I'm okay. It's just... my powers are messing with me." An honest enough answer. She adjusted her lying down position into a seated one, to get a better look at John. "Nice of you to ask about my health." Her voice had a tinge of flatness to it. She was already starting to lock down.

Kijani threw open the door with a burst of girlish happiness. "Oh, Connor! Hi!" She grinned widely at him. "Isn't this whole dance thing a complete riot? I mean, after all this, they still treat this like a normal school!" She chuckled, obviously in high spirits. "...what's up with the lighter? You don't smoke, do you?"
