I guess... It is and it isn't. Its too slow to be used as a portal in say, portal. And apparently momentum isn't kept when going through those doors so it isn't a real portal per say. (IE, no "infinite drop" fun) Also apparently only the air version acts as a portal, the ground versions don't.

Unless you wanna give it all those characteristics and make it an honest to goodness wormhole with all those portal type attributes, then it would be fine.
