Scarlett - Baton Rouge Streets - Liam, Katie, Tyler Scarlett remained quiet as Tyler spoke, sighing silently in relief as he took the lead. She glanced over at Katie as both her and her dad picked up the pace to walk somewhat in front of Scarlett and Liam. Scarlett smiled at the young girl and reached up to run her hand through the girl's hair. It was something her own mother would do for her and she would do to Sam when they were growing up. It made Scarlett feel safe, so she thought maybe it would help ease Katie's mind. Liam brought Scarlett back from her thoughts as he asked her a few questions and she frowned slightly, wondering if she should spare him from the truth or tell him the cruel truth. "A bit of both. I was in a group, actually. There was about eight or nine of us. We were hunkered down in LSU just southwest of here. Not too far." She gestured with her hand as she waved dismissively in its direction. "I was with Sam... Er... Samantha. She's my twin sister. Looks just like me but acts a whole lot different. She's feisty." Scarlett smiled at the young boy before looking ahead. "We had a pretty good set up inside one of the locker rooms and actually had water out of the showers for like a week until it completely stopped working. But anyways, some bad guys came along and ruined our fun. They separated all of us. I put up a bit of a fight and I ended up right outside of the city. I don't know where Sam is though. They kinda had to knock her out so they could take her because she was putting up too much of a fight and bad mouthing them." Scarlett laughed once, quietly, as she remembered. "Pretty sure she got away though. Ever heard of twin telepathy?" She looked down at Liam once more and smiled ever so slightly. "Pretty sure we have that. But yeah that's what happened. But I found you guys.... Or more like you guys found me... And I'm glad. Even if we've ran into some obstacles." Scarlett looked at the young boy and smiled at him to try and reassure him. She spared the gruesome details of who took them and why and what they did to them. No one should ever have to witness that or even hear of it. She patted Liam on his back as they walked and turned back to look forward, her lips puckering as she forced herself not to think about the past and not to have a complete melt down as her fiancé's face was brought up in her mind.
