Looks good, but there is an issue I want to address before I accept.  I discussed how half-breeding works.  It is possible for someone to be two of the same species, provided it makes sense(a human/dragon would be impossible.)  Because you own human blood, it will block your magic, or at least make it weaker than usual, almost to the point that it matches only the power of artificial magic.  However, because you have the blood of a Drow, which is a distant relative species to the Vel, you live considerably longer than a human being.
