He keeps a pocket watch and chain in his waistcoat pocket both as an accessory and utility. When in Storybrooke, Henry opts to wear a black or gray tie-less three-piece suit with a white or light blue button-up shirt underneath and slightly beat up brown leather shoes. While in Storybrooke, he keeps a Rotary Gents watch strapped to his left wrist and will don a pair of rectangle-framed tortoiseshell glasses, though it is highly debated if he needs them. A master of illusion, Edric is capable of tricking the mind of nearly anyone he wishes with powerful hallucinations that affect all five senses. These range from casting such things as simple parlor tricks to creating a false pitfall or conjuring an illusory beast to strike fear and discord into his enemies. Edric is capable of creating illusory copies of himself that are virtually indistinguishable from his real self, using this ability to fool enemies into attacking the copies which simply fade away upon being struck. Edric can alter his or others attire, voice, and physical aspect with seemingly no limit to resemble another person. He can utilize this power to simply change his outfit as the need calls for it, to disguise himself as anyone he so pleases, or to even falsify a condition such as a missing appendage. Edric can use hypnosis as a means to influence the mind of others with subtle commands, though the individual willpower of the victim determines how affected they are. He displays mastery over teleportation, and can easily appear in places seemingly impossible to enter through normal means. Edric can render himself completely invisible to whoever he wishes, utilizing a trick of the mind as opposed to a manipulation of light waves. Edric is capable of using this power on others as well. Lastly, Edric can shift between human and feline form at will, though this power is nullified in Storybrooke. Weapons: None, though he is becoming more fine-tuned to wielding weaponry, preferring throwing knives as a way to deal with enemies while displaying adept skill with a dagger. Skills: Edric was born to be a showman, extremely charismatic and eloquent with a sharp wit to boot. His friendly, cheery demeanor and warm inviting smile are usually enough to defuse any tension in a situation with ease. Edric's natural way with words, as well as an ample amount of ingenuity and creativity make him as capable a liar as he is a speaker, able to spin tales together into capable falsehoods with little-to-no indication of deception. As a result of Edric's apparent maturity upon returning from The Enchanted Forest and Wonderland, he's overcome most, if not all of his emotional turmoil, as well as adopting much of The Cheshire Cat's patience and long-term thinking into his own lifestyle, making him slower, more calculated; less likely to form haphazard plans or make rash actions. Edric is a quick learner, and can pick up on most any skill in a relatively short amount of time, though he finds the creative arts more to his liking as opposed to anything laborious. Because of his interest in such topics, as well as bouncing from job-to-job in New York, Edric displays adept skill in cooking, mixology, singing, dancing, photography, and art. Talents: Edric has inherit dexterity and reflexes that are far above-average, the skills he gained as a street magician only furthering this ability. As such, he can execute sleight of hand, card tricks, and even a bit of pickpocketing with ease when the need calls for it. Though not much of a musician back home, Edric has an inborn talent to play music, specifically the piano, an instrument he is well-practiced in, his natural deftness coming in handy when it comes to playing. Edric is an avid reader of books, his thirst for knowledge coupled with his quick learning allow him to absorb information like a sponge; becoming well-versed in the topics of history, literature, mythology, magic, psychology, philosophy, and religion as a result. Strengths: Edric's time living alone in The Enchanted Forest before being roped into Rumpelstiltskin's plans has left him with a heightened sense of instinct and perception, as well as heightened senses and reflexes. He can sniff out deceit or disguise easily, and is rarely tricked, though it has happened before. Edric is a capable researcher, highly skilled at finding information wherever he can. This makes him well-prepared for most situations that will arise as he constantly hungers for new things to learn. His time spent in poverty in Wonderland before becoming a magician allows him to empathize with the common people, as well as leave him a capable set of "street-smarts". Lastly, Edric is quite aware of his attractive features, and thusly never wastes an opportunity to look nice, whether it be how he styles his hair, dresses, or otherwise presents himself. Though not the richest man around, he strives to look the richest. Weaknesses: Though toning down his licentious, womanizing nature, as well as attempting to grow up and settle down, Edric's biggest weakness still lies in his cowardice and unwillingness to confront issues. He's been a runner for many years, and doesn't have any intentions of stopping. As a result of this, Edric will suppress his issues inside of him, as opposed to openly facing up to them. This causes him to shell up and push away others who would like to help, sometimes adding a cutting or cruel remark in order to ensure they stay away. Secondly, Edric still can be somewhat arrogant at times, due both to his magical prowess, as well as his intelligence. Because of this, he can occasionally come across as rude or insulting, though this is far more subdued than it was before. Lastly, Edric still has the small battle of the nasty smoking and drinking habit he picked up over the course of his life. Though far from out of control, it is still a bad habit he needs to quit. Relationships: Mr. Gold -Strongly dislikes Mr. Gold/Rumpelstiltskin for personal reasons, who shares this animosity in kind. However, the both of them are seen commonly speaking or assisting each other, though this is more likely out of common need than benevolence. Regina Mills -Shares a mutual disdain with The Evil Queen, known in this land as Mayor Regina Mills. Though considering her a nemesis to be vanquished, Edric does revel in the fact that there is information he knows but she does not. Alice Liddell -Had a very deep, loving bond with his thought-deceased sister, Alice; whose return has brought with it much shock and surprise. Though the two have a long way to go in rebuilding the relationship, Edric retains hope things can return to the way they were. Jefferson Madden -Was the childhood friend of The Mad Hatter, Jefferson Madden, and maintained this friendship even after Alice's thought execution. Though somewhat shaky due to being separated for longer than five years, the two of them have an almost brotherly relationship in how they interact and talk to each other. Heather Jekyll -Is the true love of Dr. Faye Stevenson, known as Dr. Heather Jekyll in the Land Without Color. Though originally a volatile relationship due to his noncommittal behavior and unwillingness to be serious, he is finally starting to settle down and accept Heather as his one true love. Evelyn Hyde -Has an interesting relationship with Evelyn Hyde. Though she is as much a part of the whole individual as Heather is, Henry is painfully aware that one wrong step could end with the violent woman slaughtering him. Nonetheless, the two of them oftentimes share provocative conversations, usually ending with a night of passion. Mark Dufresne -Has a friendly but not close relationship with Nick Chopper, otherwise known as Mark Dufresne. Though the two have clashing personalities and interests that make most chats awkward, Henry will nevertheless seek the older man out for sensible advice and guidance when he feels lost, the woodsman more than happy to oblige. Ruby Lucas -Gets along well enough with Ruby, or Red Riding Hood. Though he never interacted much with her persona in The Enchanted Forest, he finds himself getting along with her Storybrooke counterpart quite well. Though at one point physically attracted to her (ending in a drunken lovemaking session) Edric tries to keep the relationship purely platonic. Knox Kowalski -Shares mutual disdain with Knox Kowalski, otherwise known as the personification of the Night. Though interacting with him little, Edric views Knox as little more than a brooding misanthrope. Robert Leland -Has interacted very little with Count Roland, known in this world as Sheriff Robert Leland. Despite barely knowing each other aside from name and occupation, Edric holds him at a distance as the sheriff's curse causes him to be a completely-loyal servant to Regina's will, obeying her every command. David Nolan-Dislikes David Nolan for his 'trespassing' onto Edric's and Snow White's friendship. Though Edric holds an air of brittle courtesy around the 'King', he will make his disdain known on occasion. Besides all this, Edric harbors no wish of rebellion or revolution, simply too uncaring of authority to be so bold. Nonetheless, Edric will never refer to him as 'King', or 'Your Majesty'. Snow White -Maintains an acquaintance with Snow White, or Mary Margaret...though the relationship is far from being what it was years ago, due both to Snow's shift in behavior and his hatred of order and rules. Edric fears the friendship may be severed soon, unless it is saved by both parties involved. Mother Superior - Victor Frankenstein - Cora Mills - Killian Jones - Others-Edric gets along relatively well with the rest of Storybrooke's citizens, though he could hardly be considered 'close' to any of them. Nevertheless, his warm and friendly demeanor make it easy for others to talk to him. Brief Bio: Transformed into a grinning cat by Rumpelstiltskin's dark magic, a strange turn of events has allowed the illusionist operating under the name Alexandre to find himself in the Land Without Magic, free from the effects of the Evil Queen's Curse, retaining the memories of his other life. The Cat, calling himself Henry Carlyle was transported to New York, an undoubtedly daunting location for his first trip to the Land Without Magic. Quickly being forced to adjust himself to modern technologies and styles, Henry spent the first five years of his trip bouncing from job to job, becoming a seasoned veteran of the modern world. Eventually feeling himself lose purpose of his true mission, Henry pooled his funds together and made the expensive journey to Maine, to break the Dark Curse and free the inhabitants of The Enchanted Forest and beyond from the Evil Queen's grasp. Other: Though an expert in modern-day pop culture, Edric's interests are far more 'vintage' in style. His most prized possession is a Walkman cassette tape player loaded to the brim with Oldie pieces from the early 1900s. He also enjoys a good book from that time period, the classics being the most interesting to read, in his opinion. Also, on a slightly strange note, Edric has an odd addiction to candy, either keeping a moderate amount in his pockets or fishing to grab some from anyone foolish enough to have some available. Lastly, while Edric is currently driving a rather worn-down Nissan Leopard, he is currently pooling funds together for an Eggshell Blue Citroën DS 21 Pallas.
