Reason for joining the mission:  After submitting an application to join the mission, the general decided to accept him based on his credentials. As for a reason to apply at all, the simple answer is both curiosity and hope. The discovery of a new world help much promise, and that was enough to inspire Scott to join the mission.

Armor and equipment:
-Standard issue Elysium Infantry armor
-Weak Camouflage device; can render user invisible as long as they remain completely motionless for up to 10 minutes on full charge
-Fragmentation Grenades
-Replica USP .45 Pistol; functions at current minimal specifications (bullet and plasma compatible)
-M55S-I Shotgun with implosive rounds, both semi-automatic and double-barrel firing capabilities
-3.5 inch Combat knife
-Hard-Light Broadsword

Anything else:  Scott is gifted at CQC, capable of clearing rooms single-handedly and overpowering large foes in 1-1 combat. Off the battlefield, he is an optimist and a sentimental man. He is the single father of one child, a daughter named Michelle. His hope is that by succeeding on this mission he can secure a happy and healthy life for his daughter. Likes to pass time by listening to/playing music, reading or playing cards.
