Theo sat at a round table in a smokey, dark room with the only source of light hitting the poker table in front of him. He looked up at the group of rogues he turned a year ago and grinned, his fangs glistening viciously. "All in" said the rogue to the right of him. The others groaned and folded, but Theo smirked and matched him. The brave rogue seemed a bit more nervous, but he showed his cards with the same confidence. "A pair of spades" he said smugly. Theo chuckled, but was interupted when a woman dressed in a scantily clad french maid uniform. She bent down and whispered in his ear of the appearance of another vampire. Theo said loudly "let him in." The woman nodded and scurried back to the door, opening it to a clean yet grimacing man. "Theo, we have a problem." Theo nodded, staring at him to continue. The rogues around the table turned their attention to the new arrival, wondering the same thing Theo was. The man again spoke "one of the families here are very strong. They killed all of the men and women you sent. They even had a rogue girl help them, killed Jack after Jack pushed a girl on the concrete and ran toward her. The rogue girl even healed the blue eyed chick. Then we went after the rogue girl and she killed them too. We got one of them, though. Real pretty lookin too." Theo shook his head and said "you will not touch the girl you've captured. We need her intact... As for the family, we will do as we usually do. Kill them all off. A rogue girl that can heal, you say?" A malicious smirk appeared on his lips and murmured "I've found you now. No escaping me anymore." He threw his cards into the table and said "Royal flush." ~~~ Adelisa decided to go back to the docks after cleaning up the bodies around her home. Noticing the group was still there with the addition of a male made her hide in the shadows once again. She heard them blame the other family, but she knew who did this. He always did this. She heard the group talk of hunting down the girl the rogues took and she sighed, murmuring to herself "Theo, you've done it now." She moved deeper into the shadows and said "I told you there was something coming. I told you. If you wait any longer, your friend will be just another corpse. Don't pay attention to the trap laid out and you'll end up like the rest." Tears streamed down her cheeks and she never knew she was crying until the tears streamed down her neck and landed on her slightly chapped lips. "They never listened" she said, the buildings echoing her voice. She looked around and started walking toward a smokey scent, smelling like a... fire. She sprinted frantically to her home, where all her valuables were for the time being. Panic set in as she ran closer and closer to the fire, knowing her home was destroyed. Adelisa saw the flames engolfing the shack, the wood coming undone. Her eyes widened at how quickly the house set aflame, she was only gone for a few short minutes. She fell to her knees, knowing her mother's locket was in the blazing fire. "No" she said softly.
