Jayna had led a simple life with her younger brother and parents until the day her brother had disappeared. They didn't live far from the south wall that everyone knew not to try and go past. For no one knew what lay beyond it but the truth was that no one knew because any who ventured out to find out never returned. They weren't rich by any means but they had survived and that was by not venturing past the wall. The past two weeks she had been left home and not allowed to go anywhere. Her younger brother had been playing outside one day and then he had gone beyond the wall. Her mother being outside with him had followed him trying to get him to come back and for two weeks she hadn't heard anything from them. Just a week ago her father had left her in the house and told her to lock the doors and that he would be back with news. But that he had to find her brother and mother. That he couldn't just leave them to die. She had listened for the most part but it had been a week. A long week of being alone and not knowing. It had been a week since her father had left her alone with strict orders of not to go beyond the wall for any reason. Not even to find him. Sighing she paced the floor but her mind was already made up. She would go beyond the wall and look for herself. She had nothing left to lose after all. Her whole family was now beyond the wall or dead. Sighing she packed up a bag of spear clothes and some food and water. She wore thick pants and a long sleeve shirt with her parka as it always seemed to be cold in the parts that she lived in. She had never been alone or left to do it all on her own but what choice did she have now. She then set out towards the wall. It wouldn't take her but maybe a 20 minute walk. She grew more nervous the closer she got to the wall. Finally making it to the wall where she would be able to get through she stared at the hole and took a deep breath. "Be strong Jayna. They need you to be strong. You wont ever know the truth unless you do this." She was talking to herself but it was only because she needed encouragement. Holding her breath she then stepped through the hole and to the other side of the wall. She blinked and then released her breath as she began to walk but then she heard a noise. She turned and looked every which way but saw nothing so she continued to walk unsure of what she would find on this side of the wall.
