Name: Amaranth "Amy" Desire Age: 21. Gender: Female Race: Faunus (Hawk) Weapon: The Unchained Fury is actually twofold, taking the shape of two lightweight but strong metal sleeves on her arms. The left arm has a few metal flaps that spring out of it, taking the form of a relatively large shield. When the shield is not in use, six rotating barrels can fold out of the sides, acting as a rapid fire gun. The right arm is considerably less fancy: its only feature is acting as a storage place for the spear that is collapsed inside it, and as a launcher for the spear’s secondary function. The spear itself is actually a specially designed chain with a strong cable running through the links. When fully retracted, the chain locks into the form of a spear. When loosened, the spear becomes a grappling hook. Major Armory Upgrade: Crimson Angel Armor Made to improve Amy's ability to take hits while enhancing her agility and movement options, this particular suit of armor doesn't include any offensive weaponry. However, it integrates with the Unchained Fury, providing slightly improved ammunition storage for the Fury's onboard machine gun. Otherwise, its main feature is its ability to fly using gravity Dust. Rather than wasting fuel on staying airborne, the armor suspends itself in air by using Dust to make it and its wearer weightless, then using maneuvering rockets for midair motion. Combined with Gift of the Wild's increase in reaction speed, this allows for extremely nimble, efficient flight, though cargo beyond the wearer and weaponry can be difficult to deal with. The interior of the armor has a strange, semisolid acceleration gel contained within the layers of the suit. This gel damps the twists and turns of flight, allowing increased mobility over what would normally be possible without risking unconsciousness, and cushions impacts. The helmet, such as it is, integrates Lorena Negasi's BaSTEELs, but provides no additional capability beyond allowing Amy to use them relatively hands-free. Otherwise, the armor is an aramid-backed suit, covered in light polymer plating. While it won't hold up under sustained fire, it'll turn away the claws and teeth of weaker Grimm, provide shock absorption, and provide protection from small arms fire. Specialty: Amaranth’s specialty depends on her current load out. With the shield and spear activated, she’s more of a tank, capable of blocking damage while dishing it out. With only the spear, her fighting style shifts to a more acrobatic, lightweight form, mostly focused on dodging attacks rather than taking them. Semblance: Gift of the Wild At its most basic functionality, Gift is an enhancement of Amy’s senses. This improves her vision, hearing, sense of smell--all of them increasing in lockstep as a function of the semblance’s current level. At higher levels, this increases her reaction time significantly, causing the world to go into slow motion. This is not without its downsides--Gift also enhances pain, makes explosions more deafening, and unleashes the horrors of cafeteria cooking. Gift is always on at a low level. Major Semblance Upgrade: Primal Enhancement A straight upgrade to Gift on Amy’s end, Primal Enhancement expands the aspects affected by Gift to include her speed, endurance, and physical durability, now twice that of a baseline Huntress of her build and abilities. This extends somewhat to her healing rate--but it mostly just shortens her recovery time from injury to half that of an ordinary person. It’s never going to be relevant to injuries sustained during the current fight. Personality: Amy’s life has stripped her of any illusions regarding the nature of humanity and its conventions. She is brutally honest and to the point when around those she respects and trusts, but can be manipulative around those she does not. Her choice of clothes seems to be based more on an attitude of not caring than on any desire to irritate or attract. She has two major triggers, however: Stuck up rich kids, and people who make assumptions about her character based on her clothing. Color: Amaranth. Duh. Emblem: A straight line with a chain wrapping around it, on an reddish pink background. Appearance:

Amaranth could be a very beautiful, delicate woman, and her face supports that fully. Her hair is a beautiful shade of red, reddish brown feathers interspersed in it, and her eyes are a slight shade of blue that contrasts extremely nicely with the crimson. Her nose is small, her cheekbones delicate, and her lips full, the slightest bit of freckles sprinkled across her nose. Below the neck, however, is a different story. She always wears a collar around her neck in parody of her Faunus heritage, and she wears relatively immodest clothes when allowed to wear casual clothing with an attitude of obvious experience, taking full advantage of the more carnal aspect of her appearance at the cost of delicacy—and decency, according to the more conservative staff of the academy. A notable feature is the small, almost unnoticeable notch in her left ear, where a small piece of it looks as if it was cut out.
