Tina decided that after her hard work on advertising her family's store, she deserved a meal to fill her stomach. She stamped on her board and picked it up before she pushed her way into the store, looking back at the bus with a confused quirk of her brow. She could have sworn she saw something but there was nothing out of the ordinary. Aside from the removed bus wheels, that is. She could only shrug and walk into the KFT, passing by the man on the floor and the woman with the camera to walk up to the counter. The man working there greeted her and she ordered a burger meal which arrived in short order. Tina resolved to take a window seat and set her board on the floor to place her feet on. As she dug into her burger, she looked out the window into the street and the world beyond, and swore she saw a shape move between two trees. It was still hard for her to get used to the weird feeling she got from the town, but she was beginning to expect a bit of weirdness given its reputation. A dark shape swooped just outside of her peripheral vision. She bit into her burger. Must have been a bird. [s]_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________[/s] Roland clung to the limb of the tree, he had moved further into the town, but he knew he shouldn't be here. He could feel the prospect of being seen slowly becoming more and more likely. Swooping out of the tree to grab the colourful piece of bread the young girl had dropped was even riskier, but he looked beforehand to check if anyone was watching it and saw that no one had noticed. None save for the little girl. She saw him in his entirety, and like the idiot he is, he waved. She returned it, but in a panic he quickly fled back into the tree-line. That was not a good idea at all. He examined the piece of colourful, sweet-smelling bread closely. It was strange and spongy, and had some sort of paper covering on its sides and bottom. Some of the multi-coloured coating was stuck to his long finger as he pulled his hand away, was this some kind of defence mechanism? It was sweet-smelling as well. How strange. With a crack of his bifurcated jaw and a whip of his tongue, he discovered that this thing tasted delicious, and began eating it in its entirety. It wasn't poison at all.
