Downvote is too easily abused, especially by trollers, flamers, and the aforementioned vengeful wronged middle schooler.

[@Captain Jordan], I see the sense in what you say, and I would agree that in a writing community it is better to write a proper response than simply click a button. To be honest, I'm pretty ambivalent about a post rating system. Like you, I'm just giving my two cents.
