Rui kept a slightly eager face, until it became clear this guy was going to talk for a bit longer than necessary and thus the expression turned back to neutral as he watched with an unchanging face. Once he was done and moving onto introductions... He hoped this kid did not disturb what was happening right now too much, it looks like the Drama club was going to be quite populated this year.
