Klaus stepped away from Mira to scowl at Praetor. I'm not a Kingston, he reminded himself before speaking aloud. "Mira will be happy to explain, I'm sure. Though the sun'll be up soon and an old man needs his rest," he said, melodramatically draping his arm across his forehead. He paused there, earning an unimpressed frown from Mira, before shrugging and turning to leave the room. "G'morning, love," he said to Praetor in departure, much in the same way a mortal would use "good evening." Mira sighed and her hand rose to tug through her dark hair. "A Blackmoore's gone missing. Rogues, I believe, but Klaus fears their blame will turn on us," she explained to her loyal bodyguard. "I need you to get a message out to the others quickly--we need to lay low and out of their business until they sort it out for themselves."
