what were you doing during the war?: Chant never talks about her time before the War, but she has a few heirlooms that tell her story to people insightful enough to listen. Her locket, engraved with Fredon's mark, contains a picture of her mother and never leaves her person. Her bracelet, wrought in silver, is engraved with her name, with most of it worn smooth deliberately. Her sword is kept in perfect condition, maintained every night without fail, and when asked she proudly tells anybody that it was a gift from her father.
what do you do now?: Chant is a mercenary, traveling from town to town taking requests from the people struggling to build their communities. She never takes part in the skirmishes left over from the war, however, unless soldiers from Fredon are there. She collects magical trinkets, potions and other odds and ends she thinks might help her out of a tight spot. 
weapon of choice: Great Fang, a behemoth of a sword, is Chant's personal weapon. It's so heavy, most people can't hope to hold it off the ground, but Chant is gifted with superhuman strength, so she has no problem wielding it one handed.
Other: Chant's coat is made of a special cloth called 'Counter Weave', which repels weapons as well as a suit of iron armor, and maintains the light weight and flexibility of cloth.
