1, that it'll depend on what WilsonTurner wants to do about his species - if they breed giant horses
2, like the articles said, there is a limit to burden, about a max of 30%, which warhorses that you gave an example and figures of still fell under, so it'll depend on how heavy he wants his char to be that the usual human horsies can't carry him.
