I was a regular watcher for seasons one through three but I fell behind because of college and can't catch up. But I am familiar with the vampire lore from that show. Ian and other high class vampire families could all have rings that witches make for them that allow them to walk in the sure.

We'll where this first investigation leads, then maybe we can introduce new ones. Maybe a freshly turned vampire would be an interesting future plot line for Ian.
