As he exited the park, Jacque noticed a growing crowd of people milling about just outside of the park's entrance. Jacque's brow quirked a bit as he read the expression on their faces: some were scared, some excited, and some seemed absolutely livid. Perhaps it was because he was still bitter about his near thwarted robbery, or maybe because he wanted to see just how good he was at swaying people, but Jacque couldn't help but think of a way to use the crowd of onlookers to hassle the team of young heroes a bit. The criminal slipped into the crowd, standing in between an older man with a scowl, and a woman with her hands clasped over her mouth, and put on a hate filled glare "This isn't right.", he said, grabbing their attention. Jacque looked at the man and woman and gestured to the heroes, "What? You don't see the problem here? They just came in swinging! Not a single one of those "heroes" tried to get people to safety. I mean come on, there are CHILDREN here and they're acting like they don't care!" Jacque hissed venomously. As a few more people turned their attention to Jacque, older man's scowl deepened further, "Hey, hey yeah you're right! They just started fighting". A cacophony of murmurs began to arise from the crowd just before a teenage girl just a bit younger than Jacque spoke up, "Wait, I saw one of them deflect the weapon the bad guy was using!" she said in defense of the team, "Oh yeah? Well I didn't see her LOOK where she threw it. What if she'd redirected it at someone else?" Jacque spat back. The crowd now circled around Jacque, their eyes on him as he internally chuckled despite his sever expression, "What do you suppose would happen if someone got hurt by their actions, huh!? What, you think they'll try to reimburse you or settle it in court? NO! These people think that their powers make them above the law, and i'm sick of it! Who's looking out for us when these people destroy our property? You think your insurance company is going to cover your vehicle after one of them pancakes it and uses it as a bludgeon!?" The criminal roared indignantly. The murmurs in the crowd began to rise in volume as the mixture of emotions in the crowd began swaying closer towards ire. Jacque stood quietly as the people worked themselves up even further before he decided to stir up the hornets nest even further, "And what about what happened today, huh? Two men DIED in that bank robbery and they let one of the robbers escape! I bet they didn't even TRY to look for the last guy! Imagine what the families of those men must be going through knowing that one of the potential killers is still out there!". In truth Jacque's last statement made him feel a bit guilty as he was talking about himself. Mentioning the deaths of the officers to get a rise out of others felt low, even for him, however he pushed the thought away as it got the desired result. Now just about everyone in the crowd was angry, even the girl who'd originally defended the heroes. "I say we stop letting vigilantes who think they're above the law continue putting people in harm's way! LET'S LET THEM KNOW THEY'RE NOT WANTED!" Jacque snarled before pointing at the group of combatants in the park. The people didn't need to be told twice; they instantly turned and began marching towards the heroes and villains that did battle in the park, all traces of fear gone as they hurled all manner of insults and vulgar gestures at Casan, Nikolai, Torch, and Hunter. All of them except one: Jacque. Jacque stood back, all traces of his fake anger replaced with a smug smirk as he took a moment to admire his handiwork, "Let's see how you all like being held up." he said to himself before turning and continuing on his merry way home, enjoying the sounds of indigence from the folks he'd riled up even as they began to get fainter with his increasing distance.
