A slow crack, accompanied by the soft squelch of flesh. A warm sensation on his foot, Mithias looks down, already knowing the sight that would awake him, but unwilling to accept it. Beneath his foot lay a child, the heal of his heavy black boots having shattered her chest. Between the shattered ribs, the beating of the heart could still be seen as it desperately attempted to keep her infantile form alive. The deflated form of a crushed lung was identified, as Mithias subconsciously catalogued the organs, an effort his conscious mind was incapable of halting. Bright blue eyes stared upwards, as a shocked attempt at breathe brought up nothing but blood. An arm twitched, reaching upwards, grabbing onto the side of Mithias' leather pants, almost as if attempting to pull herself up. The arm fell limp, her eyes turned glassy. For a few seconds more, the heart beat. Then her body was silent. "My my, didn't I tell you? I'm not going to be killing anyone, Mithy. I never had any intention of harming that darling child - her name was Melissa, you know? Beautiful name, I'd call my daughter Melissa." gabriel chuckles, as a small group of children gathered around him, boys and girls around the age of seven. They were smiling happily, waving as one would to a relative. Not a one of them realized the situation they were in, trapped in a world of their own imagination, incapable of perceiving this grim reality. "You know, I've always liked children. You know that, don't you? And I'm running out of supply. However, if you keep being so obstinate, you're going to get them all killed. Seven more little children. How many bodies are you prepared to walk over just to kill me?"
Agony was the expression on the noble vampire's face as he removed his boot and felt the suffering and death of the blue-eye little girl reverberate through his soul. The old one had been tricky, setting the scene so that Mithias killed the girl unintentionally rather than witnessing his father comitt the crime. The dilemma was clear... Mithias would have to destroy who he was and all he stood for in order to theoretically reach Gabriel and tear his black heart out. But it was apparent to Mithias that the whole scenario was a farce. He would have known immeidately if his foot had encountered a girl before he quashed her. The only explanation was that Gabriel still had a good level of control over Mithias' mind. Mithias couldn't in fact tell what was real and what was not, and therefore had no chance of defeating his maker. Anger flared up within him. He was incensed that after all this time, his mental shield was still too weak. He was still only a puppet, a plaything, and if anything, he didn't matter at all to his sire. Cut off by this reasoning, Mithias turned away and let his hair shield his eyes from view. The thought of killing the girl cut him but not nearly as deeply as something else. "I never wanted to kill you." He said. In truth, he couldn't remember why he was this angry, what exactly his father had done other than the occasional sadistac random acts that couldn't even be conclusively tied to him and taking the blood that was his due as a natural preditor. Was one sin worth ending him over? Was he guilty of the accusations? Even if so, it didn't matter. Mithias' power wasn't strong enough. "In all this time, why haven't you killed me, father? Do you so enjoy torturing me?"
