To give you a briefing on the situation, Edward was the riddler for a long time before he was cured of his mental illness. I don't like how they do it in the comics. I feel the asylum could help to cure him most logically. After his release he becomes a detective. That's the basics of it if that helps. 

I wrote a three story fan fiction we could use as a base story, but at the same time I don't expect you to read it. I personally don't often like reading other peoples fanfictions before jumping into their universe so it might be hypocritical of me lol.
