Kaite watched Riblou as he took his time to think. It was just standard procedure for the boy not to ask Riblou anything unless he wasn't in any sort of hurry since it often took a bit or he'd get distracted and forget what he was thinking about. Kaite found this tiring at times, although he was the one that often engaged in such conversations. That in mind, he found it hard to be mad at the big lunk. With a sigh, Kaite recomposed himself, having gotten comfortable leaning on the railing which he felt seemed unprofessional, especially with one more rolling up the gangplank. He was a little curious, himself, having never heard of aquatic chimeras. Something about the process of DNA splicing made it easier for mammalian species than any others. That and how inconvenient the tank...tank seemed. Kaite fluttered his tail at Riblou's mention of having never seen a chimera with one, though mostly ignored it, tapping a finger in Achieng's direction. With a green highlight and a check next to the name, he smirked, softly. "Here, conveniently enough" he chuckled after her introduction, clutching his menu hand into a fist for a couple seconds, closing the crew manifest upon its apparent completion. "Velcome to zeh Infamous Alto, I am Officer uf Operations Jericho Kaite...ehrm, zough I suppose right now I am zeh Administrative Assistant..." he went on, sounding a bit unsure of his position. It was never entirely established what he was on the ship, having just barely been around for a year, or, at the very least, he'd forgotten what it was. He shook his head in a dismissive manner before asking, "Iz zehr any luggage I can help you vith?" The thought also occurred to him that he should probably let Riblou get to work...and that her luggage may very well be included in the mess that was almost finished being loaded onto the ship.
Achieng smiled, and moved her hand in a slashing motion. Only seconds later did she realize that she should be doing the thing with her head instead. She couldn't remember, though, if 'no' meant up and down head motion, or side to side head motion. With a soft chuckle, she said it out loud instead. "No. My things are already being loaded. Most of them are on the way to the lower deck. They've built me a nice sleeping tank, or so I have been told. I will see when I get there." She was not fully certain of the layout of the ship, but figured she would learn like everyone else. "I am happy to meet you, Kaite." She bowed her head to him, then maneuvered her tank backward smoothly. She started up the ramp to the ship with the faint sloshing sound of water fading in her wake.
