Tremblay - Baton Rouge/Plaza - Jess/Kerry He nodded at her name, looking behind himself briefly at those milling by. He focused on the gardens for a moment, before turning back to the woman. "We have the supplies to support a young child," Tremblay said, his French accent coming through. "So, do not worry about that." Leaving the door open and unattended, Tremblay moved around the van to approach Kerry. "I know this is hard for Magnus to understand sometimes, but when I say I have something handled, I have it handled. No doubt he wants to bring this woman back to his compound. He'll say he took initiative, but we both know he was undermining me. You were undermining me." He stared Kerry down, as if daring him to talk back. He placed a hand on Kerry's shoulder, speaking before Kerry could properly respond. "Run along. This woman's in my hands now, and whoever else Magnus is planning to get his grubby hands on." Sometimes, Tremblay wished he hadn't kept Magnus so close. He left Kerry to return to Jessalyn, who had been escorted out of the vehicle. He gestured for her to move down the path, into one of the stores at the plaza. "You're here now, so I'm afraid going back isn't an option right now. But you need to understand that we're not here to harm you-- we're here to work with you. I just need to ask you a few questions, and then I can properly determine what to do with you. Ben will be in safe hands, I promise." He waited for her to move ahead, to follow him into the building. There really wasn't anywhere else for her to go, with two armed men standing behind her.
