“I’m seeing all checks on my end Kaite, looks like we’re set. We’ll be departing shortly so make your final checks now.” replied Rayland though his terminal before cutting the connection and turning back to Sel. “Well, with all things considered, I think we’re ready to-“ “Captain Rayland Sul’tari, all operation checklists have been fulfilled. We are ready for departure. Awaiting your orders.” the VI suddenly interrupted, just as it confirmed with the reports being made with all sections around the ship. “…Thank you Towan, I was about to say that…” Rayland rolled his eyes as he made himself comfortable back into the captain’s chair and opened a ship-wide communications channel. “Attention crew, this is your Captain speaking. All new personnel and cargo have now been accounted for and our energy and full reserves are at their peak. Currently we are go for launch. All crew members are to report to their assigned stations for takeoff. That is all.” With the announcement done, Rayland turned to the ever-at-the-ready ship VI’s eyeball. “You’re up Towan.” was all that Rayland had to say. When he first got his hands on the Infamous Alto, he learned that Towan of course was not the brightest tool in the shed but what the VI on the other hand made up on the other hand was its surprisingly spartan and diverse programming. The original owner of the ship had established several unique hot-phrases with the VI, each phrase encoded with an algorithm of various instructions and commands to carry throughout vessel. With this particular phrase, Towan was immediately at work manipulating the Infamous Alto’s systems under its direct power. Looking back at his terminal, Rayland could observe the docking ramps folding inward and then locking up before sealing in with the hull. Then came the ping request to the docking crews to unlock and release the clamps that held the frigate in place. Almost immediately did he then confirm that the crews outside had replied as the magnetized claws opened and retracted before the ship’s mass was governed once more by the station’s tractor beams, pulling the vessel forward. “We are mobile.” Towan reported. “The Infamous Alto is now en-route to the SWS Howling Sun. ETA, ten minutes.” The frigate slowly moved through the metal skeleton of the never sleeping station, passing by the many docking bays and logistical facilities interconnected by a series of construction spires teeming with maintenance drones. The crews there were many and at constant work maintaining other docked vessel, whether they be within artificial gravity or operating in the vacuum with special zero-G equipment to navigate around each ship. Along the way, the Infamous Alto was met by several other ships following the same path. Each ship varied with different hull configurations and armament layouts; some carrying little to no weaponry and thus deducible to support and transport vessels. The other craft that were actually armed to kill were clearly patrol and freelance destroyers; Rayland counted at least ten combat ships and adding that to the Howling Sun’s own personal compliment of war ships, it was becoming more obvious on how serious the Galactic Coalition was with this mission. Eventually for all the ships in transit, they finally had arrived to the massive port-side of the SWS Howling Sun, leaving some of the command staff in awe as most of them have never seen any vessel quite like it. Rayland only passed a small grin, knowing that there were even bigger warships that could dwarf the Howling Sun easily but admittedly, nothing in the sector aside from the Asuka and the Dev’rana could compare to its immense size and staggering arsenal. Much like the Ascended Force Commander that lead her, the SWS Howling Sun was Sphere warship, specifically a Highland Wolves warship. It's rough edged design and sleek profile attributed to its fast and powerful combat prowess as did most Highland Wolves vessels. Uniquely for most Sphere warships, the spherical sections of the craft were in actuality the craft itself as most of the vessel's functions and combat mechanics derived from the metallic bubbles while other portions are normally considered necessary add-ons such as armor, weapons, and other varied purposes. Each spherical section generated it's own power and artificial gravity that could also be regulated to other sections in case of an emergency. Even more so was that the vessels could maneuver with the hull itself rather than utilizing it's own anti-gravity fields, allowing for quick re-positioning, especially when bringing all of its weaponry to one side. Admittedly though to himself, Rayland felt nearly invisible and thankful knowing that this warship was on his side and vice versa. In the briefest moments, control over the ship soon left the station only to be reinstated by the skirmish carrier, causing a temporary change in gravity. As the ships, were tugged closer to the Howling Sun, As soon as the Howling Sun’s profile over took the bridge’s sensor screen, Rayland leaned back and asked allowed, “So has anyone ever been ferried by a carrier in an en massed slipspace jump?”
