Alright, all of this is fair and good. On the matter of the Great Depression, I assumed it never happened not because I didn't see any mention of it, but because I didn't see any major effects surrounding it. I did not see any major wars, revolutions, or extreme changes that one would expect to result from economic hardship, such as the rise of fascism in Europe after the Great Depression irl. There was quite a lot of mention of these changes in post-war economies like Britain and France, but that was a result of the huge war that had struck the nations, not the depressed trough out of recurring booms and recessions.
Well the thing is you could argue that there was a lot of change across the world as an effect of the Depression. In the lore summaries the US suffered economic insecurity and political swings well into the fifties. Likewise the UK collapsed politically with people over throwing the monarchy, this lending in to a lot of far-right folks moving into Canada and turning them into a sort of quasi-fascist regime. And Serbia is fascist as well and Germany flipped from a Republic post-war and is again a monarchy because the Republic was too weak. The reason why fascism hasn't become a thing is that there wasn't any big concentrated failure on anyone like Germany in the RL inter-war years that gave the Nazi party any reason to come around. And Italy was swept over by the Ottomans before Fascists could really come to anything.
