Pyrokinetic Vision: Depending on the time Liam takes to 'charge' before the release, it can either be a minor annoyance, to something capable of melting steel. Either way the process of generating heat in front of his eyes doesn't tend to be very 'comfortable'.
Sixth Sense: Liam's senses have been enhanced in such a way that he detects things beyond normal capability. The most enhanced of his senses, and the one he has the most control over is sight. The rest of the senses go off in an unpredictable manner, such as him smelling far more than he intended, or his hearing becoming more super-sensitive at seemingly a whim, among other strange ways. As a method of dealing with it he has rigorously tried to learn ways to turn his senses 'off'. His training has been, so-so in its effectiveness, but not as effective as just spending time in a sensory deprivation rig.
 
Personality: Liam Brown, before the operation was a soft spoken man. He wasn't too noticeable and was a rather bland and average individual. The only real special thing is the daily rituals he'd do, and having a mild case of synesthesia.  After the procedure, he well still mostly the same, although he has become fairly unhinged, more inclined to strange and curious outbursts. And of course the synesthesia he had had become much more severe. Despite that he is typically more or less the same, a boring soft spoken man.
 
Backstory: Liam Brown was born in the Ontario Providence of Canada. He lived a mundane life, with nothing of note happening, until he was caught for embezzlement at the pharmaceutical company at which he was employed. And after that the divorce; Granted, he was going to divorce her soon anyway because his wife cheated on him with a Fisherman from Novia Scotia. For his White Collar crimes he was sent to the correctional institution where he served many months in, without anything notable happening. However, nearing the end of his sentence, armed forces came in taking fairly low-risk criminals in order to get soldiers for the war against the aliens. Liam had nothing really to lose, at least he thought, and went with the procedure. After the results showed that he had the powers, he was quickly taken by the UN to serve.
