Darling? Again? She arched an eyebrow at him. Though it was normal for women to be addressed this way, she didn't like it. It would suggest closeness when there was none. Especially with Rhett, the idea of closeness made her stomach lurch. Not only was he a stranger to her, but he was also a pushy obnoxious man who seemed to have a white knight complex, not that she wasn't currently receiving benefits from it at the moment. Amelia eyed the younger blonde girl and smirked at her with her elbows on the table. She picked up her spoon and gestured at her once she scurried away. "I think she fancies you.", she chuckled then took quite a few spoonfuls of stew. It tasted great, but anything would taste wonderful to someone if they hadn't eaten properly in a long time. Looking up at him between large spoonfuls, she slurped and wiped her mouth on her bare wrist. "This is very good, thanks.", she gulped then belched through her nose. Not thinking to excuse herself, she continued, "What sort of work would you have me do? I can read and write and do some manual labor." She knew he was going to mock her about the last bit. Once she had a few good meals, she would build up her strength again and would be more useful.
