Well, I think, after reading a bit more, that I understand basically what's going on, though some things are assumed. For example, what is the "Aperture disaster", who is professor Alto Ganze, are Metas the super powered people? These are the big questions. I think I figured out my other questions, which were about the Corporate, Underground and Reformist groups.
I kind of forgot to include a synopsis on Arc 2 that would inform you of all that. Alto Ganze is a PC played by RofisMazoy. He's a technopath (although not the best) who was gifted a robotic arm by some aliens or something. Basically, he's a good guy who takes over and owns his own technology company that supports the reformists. The Aperture Disaster was when a large corporation called Aperture which basically was the government's go-to contractor for Meta-problems, began trying to make a biological super-weapon called Gia. Gia was infused with the DNA of nearly every Meta and she could call upon their powers at will. She also had advanced healing. Her own brother, Doctor David Taylor was the one who did all that to her. He was an extremely powerful Meta who could steal powers with blood-samples. Essentially, he wanted to create a Meta-only society by inciting a civil war and then forcing any remaining humans to adapt powers or die. He will be killed at the end of Arc 2. Another driving force behind the Aperture Disaster was Ruby Greenfoot, who's one of the most powerful technopaths in existence. She funded Aperture with technology that was years ahead of its time so they became pretty powerful. She went MIA after Arc 2 and hasn't been seen since but rumours say that the Underground Movement recently got a boost in tech. And yes, Metas are people with superpowers or just general powers. It varies!
