I should clarify that she would not gain the actual knowledge of those who have wielded the item, but only their identities and such facts as how long a single entity possessed the item, meaning she would not know the personal knowledge of any of the wielders, merely seen their experiences with the item in question. As with her ability to connect with people in this way, I will amend this to extend to objects as well, so she would then have to spend copious amounts of time delving into the memory of the object to grasp the full length of experience it has stored within it, coinciding with your wish for it to be harder to obtain deeper, long-lost memories.
