Ardarlan is a city with in the realm of Eirela, a realm littered with strange secrets and deadly individuals who want to rule as the king of Adarlan, inside Ardarlan is a guild of assassins who will train to become their best and inside the guild is a woman, who tried to kill the king of Adarlan but had to watch as the king ordered her lover killed and her to be dumped into a sewer, which she later escaped and created the Guild.

Celaena watched over the city of Adarlan from the roof top of the guild and wondered if any recruits would come and train with a wrench and lowlife like her, that is what she thought of her self, she had see so many die for her and wondered if she could protect the students long enough for the assassins to become like her skill level, at the side of her she had a glass of expensive wine, which she kept either on the rooftop in a hiding place or in her master bedroom in the guild.
