Depends on the character, really. I think your character's profession is only one small aspect of your character out of many. What about his personality? His interests? His relationship with everyone else? What about character development. There's plenty of ways to play a plumber. Hand me a Mario and I'd bet I can make it work.

Thing is you /could/ end up overshadowed by players with ''better'' characters. And while I do quite enjoy playing some sort of leech who can't do anything, it'd end up getting on peoples nerves I think.
