Karol knew that he was a professional when he seen one and knew that taunting wouldn't affect him dramatically. He wasn't going to win on complete defence so Karol took a deep breathe and was ready to attack. He was preparing for a swift jab-jab-cross combo.

Obviously having taken a focused stance worked well for him since  when Karol launched his combo only the first jab caught him but had the other two had been parried away.
