Michael observes the creature. "....Whose side are you on?" He simply asks, just to get some leeway on the decision making process. While he waits for an answer, he contemplates whether or not he should've killed those creatures from before. Sure, they attacked him first, and he was simply responding in self-defense, but was it the right thing to do?
