I understand the preference. And it really isn't boredom that'll bother me. 
It's more about the fight being cut before anything really progresses. 
I don't think Nicolas could win. 
But at least hold Invidia off until one the of the other mages gets to him to get him out of a tight spot.

I'd guess I'm saying I'd at least like the fight to progress a little bit.
